Detoxification DietsDuring the season of the December holidays, Easter, a birthday, wedding or special event, we tend to relax our limits, and eat and drink some more. Even if it does not, the city air, processed foods and artificial drinks introduced into our bodies and toxic chemicals, if not completely removed, can collaborate to produce disease.

Options exist from one day up to months, always depending on individual needs and tolerance. For a healthy person who wants to detoxify regularly, you should make a diet of 2 or 3 days each month.

Fresh fruits are good allies for our detox diet

Whichever option we choose, it is essential to eliminate all red meat, flour, caffeine and alcohol. It is important, in turn, focus on eating fruits and vegetables and reduce the calories of other foods.

Here are some of the more brief:

  • Liquid diet: the most basic and rather extreme: the fast. It is a very aggressive option and therefore not the most recommended, but it is clear that effect. Should be taken only pure water with lemon juice or not. Never extend more than two or three days and should always be supervised and approved by a physician.
  • Diet fruit: for one day should be eaten only fresh fruits and juices, plus two or three liters of water. It can be sweetened with any product.
  • Diet of a fruit: choose a fruit with our predilection (if possible to be strawberry, some citrus, grape, watermelon, tomato and papaya) and for three days just eat it and drink plenty of water.
  • Diet broth: if you are not our fruits, we eat for a day, every two or three hours, strained vegetable broth. It can be prepared by boiling for 30 minutes every kind of vegetables, but no oil or salt.

There are countless menus detoxifying diets, and it can choose the combination of foods that we like. As a warning, during the days that we extend the diet can make us feel a little weak and you see acne in our skin. This is because the body is fat and expelling toxins. It is important to know that we must be constant, thus avoiding the famous rebound effect.
